When Mike & Anna got in touch to ask me to be their wedding photographer, they said that half the wedding party was going to be children, so I knew it was going to be a fantastic wedding to photograph (and possibly a challenge!) but what better reactions and emotions than children’s wide-eyed faces, full of honesty & love. Mike & Anna had three gorgeous children, the youngest was still breastfeeding, which transformed the bridal getting ready shots of the wedding morning, capturing these special tender moments between mother and child were priceless. The Bride & Groom photographs became a vibrant family shoot strolling (or running if you’re 4) in the shade of the nearby trees.
Games, fun and colour were everywhere you looked on this beautiful summer’s day in Folly Farm on the outskirts Bristol. With a special early meal for the children and their very own disco before the adults, this really was a family friendly, fun filled wedding day full of love, energy and colour but at the very heart of it…the lyrics of their first dance song ring loud in my head and resonate through the pictures I captured…“all these colours in me but all I see is you, and nothing else’ matters, you … baby it’s you”
