Ben & Tolu

Ben & Tolu contacted me on a Tuesday to see if I was available last minute to photograph their wedding on the Friday, and they received their photos the following Monday, talk about whirlwind wedding! Due to lockdown and restrictions put in place because of Covid, their wedding (which they had flown home from Australia to be with both their parents for) was finally permitted due to their special circumstance. The very intimate wedding party of 6; Ben, Tolu and both the Bride and Groom’s parents, headed down to the stunning wedding venue Sandy Cove, with the breath-taking backdrop of the North Devon coastline, and said their ‘I do’s’

Having previously photographed another lockdown wedding at Sandy Cove, I was able to give the couple some helpful information regarding the location as they had booked without visiting it, and I had some extra special ideas for their wedding portraits.

Living in the area, I have a vast knowledge and experience of many tucked away spots fantastic for photography, so I offered the newly weds an opportunity to have a wedding day adventure and hike down to a secret beach for their bride & groom portraits, which they were thrilled about, wellies and all! I will let the wedding album do the rest of the talking.

One last thing I will say, with these uncertain and volatile times we now find ourselves in, love will always prevail. Spending the day with Ben and Tolu reminded of this, every photo I captured reflected just how truly in love this beautiful couple were and I was absolutely honoured to be a part of their wedding day and enjoyed every moment I spent with them, so thank you Ben & Tolu I wish you all the best in your future together x
